To apply the filter you have to select your desired column, and it will pop up a small box from where at first all the options will be selected but you can deselect it all and then start selecting your required information. So from the process of my filtering of cities I have found out the customers living specifically in Bangladesh, out of the 30 customers in my database.
Benefits of applying filter:
Saves time from trying to search from a larger database.
Serving a customer regarding information about anything in the database will be much easier and faster.

So after applying filter on the column 12, I could filter out the customers I have served on a particular date, which on my case is October 2018. From the 30 customers I started putting data of customers from August, September and October. My concern was to look at the customers who were served on October and the filter function has given me quiet a easy way to have a quick look at them.
With this filtering function you can scan out customer or a certain product information in few mins where as it could have taken you a couple of hours. Obviously my database of 30 customers is not that big but a database consisting of thousand will surely need filtering out to ease out the difficulty of finding a certain information.
